Cream Cheese Icing

Cream Cheese Icing!

Here are a few cakes that we've iced with this amazingly yummy frosting:

Since Lent begins tomorrow, I thought I'd share one last  "sweet" for these next 40 days in the recipe link up. We plan to make Mardi Gras cupcakes tonight for our family and for Kev's parish youth group ...of course, frosting dyed yellow, green and purple.
 I found  edible glitter  at amazon and also at Michael's for the cupcake edges. Nice touch. Tasty, too. I'll post a shot of those cupcakes tomorrow!

Here goes:


2 C confectioners sugar
2 ( 8 ox) package softened cream cheese
1/2 C softened butter
1 tspn vanilla

In a medium bowl, cream together cream cheese and butter.
Mix in vanilla then gradually stir confectioners sugar.
Store in refrigerator after use.
