Adirondack Memories~ Monday~ Paddleboats, Perch, Pleiades, Promises

Monday of our annual week of memory making, memory capturing,
rejuvenating, refilling, rebuilding.....

Thank you for stopping by for my photojournal of our time in the Adirondacks,
the closet place to heaven that there is on Earth.
Saturday,  day 1, and yesterday, day 2 were lovely here on the lake....
A perfect day, weather-wise and other-wise, actually

Another day of swimming~~~

{love this shot!}

...enjoying water toys and channeling their inner 5 year old selves!

Another swim marathon to Tom Sawyer Island in the lake's middle......
Whew!
The return trip is tiring!

Gone fishin' !!!

We usually catch sunnies ...today, Timmy caught a PERCH!
And Kev, a bass...but released it before I was able to snap a shot.

...and sand castle creating....

Tonight, we grill, roast marshmallows at the relaxing and mesmerizing campfire
and try,  despite the present cloudiness,
to catch the Pleiades....
I hope your week is going beautifully and that you are enjoying the last remaining weeks of summer with your families!

Until tomorrow, hopefully~~~

~Chris

  1. Love 'em, love you, love your family!!! :) Keep the pics coming! And congrats to Timmy there on his catches thus far; we just started the sport of fishing this summer, fun! Sad we're going to miss going to the Adks. this summer after all (will email you about that) but love to see the pics. Thanks for sharing!! The boys are just growing like weeds by the way! Oh, and how great that your brother lives that close, so nice that he can spend time there with you all. xoxo

  2. Again, I love these pics, Chris!!! I think I mentioned spending summers at my grandparents cottage on a tiny lake in Michigan. Such great memories of campfires and smores...sparklers..."king of the hill" on the floating dock...seaweed monsters and lilly pad flower bouquets!!! Thanks for the memories! BTW...have you ever been to the Midwest? Your kids might love a trip to Mark Twain's hometown of Hannibal, MO. You homeschool, right? You might be able to research when they do their annual festival and experience the white-wash paint fencing competition, frog race competition, Tom and Becky look-alike contests, etc! Fun place to experience. My 8th Grade Class took our Catholic School field trip there from St. Louis. Great memories including a paddleboat ride.
