"Walk" < Write 31 >

For years, I've been privileged to be part of a brave, impressive and
surprising tribe writer community called Five Minute Friday.
Anyone can join!
Just click over to Kate's any Friday.
You're always invited and always welcome!
Just grab your notebook and pencil or open the draft tab of your blog,
set your timer for 5 and get writing on the weekly prompt!

Beginning today and hopefully continuing through the month, I'm joining  Write 31
writing off of a one word prompt for five minutes per day, much like  #fmf .
I'm thrilled to take part and hope my writing improves and deepens, given
a "forced" appointment daily!
So here goes, in five:

 A stroll, a saunter, a meandering?
All I can think,  though, is the cruel, hot, dusty, twisting, relentless path
spiraling deep into the Canyon's gorge.
Ten miles of depth and then ten miles back.
Scorpions, weary climbing, stopping to grab a quick shot
'because, honestly, this is
never happening again...grab the photo while we're here.
Phantom Ranch and refreshment await and views up, up...
a different perspective than most ever gaze upon.
Then the 2 AM wake up, crossing of the Colorado and ascent before the
intensity sets in.
Togetherness> A  priceless resounding yes.
We are cheerleaders and encourages and memory makers
in this crazy.
In this never- to- be- had -again time .
We steadily watch and try to seer  the beauty of the black velvet sky,
those never before seen by us stars like diamonds thrown across it.
No light, no moon, no sound, nothingness.....
save out breathing and our flashlights and our footsteps
as we ascend.
As of we aare the only ones who are here...
who've ever been here.
The majesty, the intensity, the eternal, frightening  and beautiful vastness

By the way, here's the "full story."
This is just a peek.

A few months ago, the idea was launched to compile the #fmf stories
into a book, which was undertaken by one of our own, Susan,
sent countless hours organizing and readying the stories
for boof form  (Thank you Susan!)
and t-o-d-a-y,
The Five Minute Friday Book is available for purchase!

The book contains glimpses of hearts:
many stories, many peeks into writers' souls,
all written in five minutes flat.

~~ I'm honored that one of my stories is  included within~~

And here's the absolute, best part:
When you buy the book you're supporting
two vital ministries in South Africa!

All profits from the book will be divided equally between
two ministries in South Africa:

SO what do you say?
Grab the book, support essential ministries, enrich your life!
And join us for #FMF this Friday and every Friday!
