We've been on a Doctor Who rewatch binge lately
( tons of my Doctor Who related posts here - parties, fun stuff, gifs, etc! )
and wow, some of the Doctor's pearls of wisdom are just legendary.
This line from the Ninth Doctor in season 6 really resonated with me....
....and I began thinking of the great truth in that as it refers not just to people,
of course, < thank you Doctor> but so much more.... .....
Ordinary days, outings, meals, conversations, jobs.
Ordinary lives. Ordinary moments.
Everything can be significant, if we let it.
Because really, there's no such thing as ordinary.....
No such thing.
Startling blue skies.
Crisp, clear mornings and halcyon spring afternoons.
An impromptu game of marbles.
Discovering a family of ladybugs on the kitchen windowsill.
Jungle animals imagined in drifting cloud formations.
Quiet togetherness watering newly planted pansies. Joyful noise in piano and recorder tunes.
Sipping steaming hot cocoa following wintry sledding; icy lemonade following a summer bike ride.
Bare, little boy feet slapping dewy grass at dusk on an early summer evening, catching and releasing fireflies, whoops of staccato excitement
Sipping steaming hot cocoa after wintry sledding
Icy lemonade following a summer bike ride.
Bouncy, cheery new piano tunes learned and even screechy violin attempts.
Moments woven through family, learning, life..........
