Grow ~ 31 Days of Adirondack Memories <#write31days >

Welcome to day 17 of my
"31 Days of Adirondack Memories" series
for the #write31days challenge!

Today's theme~~
Grow

Although we grow, change, mature...
I hope my heart always hastens when
remembering these days.

Schedule-less,
 free,
a rhythm adhering only to the lake beckoning.....

  paddle boat  races,
lazy afternoons canoe-ing 'round our island
backgammon marathons.
Fishing mornings
Campfire evenings

Grow as the fir trees, dark and high
As the old growth pines stretch, tall and majestic
But forever  remembering  enchanting  childhood summers
 in the misty lakeside mountains

My 31 Days of Adirondack Memories

  2. Happy memories are balm for the soul when we have nothing else we want to think about or to hang on to. That's one reason I collect memories. They bring back what I've loved and lost, if only for a time, like my children.

  3. How you have brought back memories when I was a child and would go camping withy parents in the Adirondacks! The one lake we would go to freq was Rackett Lake. Thanks for sharing your great photos.
