Listen ~ 31 Days of Adirondack Memories <#write31days >

Welcome to day 10 of my
"31 Days of Adirondack Memories" series
for the #write31days challenge!

Today's theme ~
Listen

Loon alights.....soundlessly......  on fallen branch......
Flutter of wings, just barely heard.
Saddest noise, sweetest noise...mostly heard at day's close
His call,  the rhythmic cadence, so calming,

Frogs' thumping, guttural croaking.
Crescendo of cicadas  swells growing gradually louder, noisier....
then in  reverse....... waning and disappearing

Wandering crystal water, being pushed by oars....
Lake dripping, swishing, steadily, as oar dips in and out
of steely, mirrored surface.

My 31 Days of Adirondack Memories
for the  #write31days challenge:

Day 5 ~ Trust

Day 6 ~ Story

Day 8 ~ Truth

Day 9 ~ Plan

I'll be "treating" the October write 31 days challenge as I would the
Five Minute Friday challenges, writing for 5 off each day's prompt

And by the way,
The Five Minute Friday Book is available for purchase!
The book contains glimpses of hearts:
many stories, many peeks into writers' souls,
all written in five minutes flat.
~~ I'm honored that one of my stories is  included within~~

  2. It doesn't get much better than enjoying the 'silence' out in the mountains! In fact, it is not silent at all.
