Write ~ 31 Days of Adirondack Memories <#write31days >

Welcome to day 12 of my
"31 Days of Adirondack Memories" series
for the #write31days challenge!

Today's theme~
Write

The poetry of the mountains......
call of the loon
dip and splash of the oar into lake
glide of canoe across glassy surface.....

waterlily petals upturned toward the heavens as if praying...
magenta, chartreuse, lemon-sunshine yellow.
We're gifted every color to revel in, care for,
to decorate our lives.

Even on a dismal day,  the sun will often
peek out and shine on  curtains of rain
........and
rain falls on sunshine too.

And the glitter in the sky on our own dusky summer's night....
it's an eternal, forever night in our memories.

The dusk to night, dawn to day,
 trees stretching to sky,
stars thrown across black velvet heavens.....
the words to write on this paradise....... endless

  5. Beautiful photos and writing. Although a native of New York State, I have spent little time in the Adirondacks.

  6. The prayer of the water-lily petals...you caught this in words way better than Monet did in pigment. Bravo!
