Halloween Candy Kitchen~ Caramel Apples!

After an afternoon of this.........

We came home all loaded down with pumpkins and apples,
on a corn maze and hayride high
and decided to continue the Autumn fun....
How better than making our own caramel apples?!
For the Halloween candy making, just a quick trip to the supermarket
is all you need.
These are the essentials~~
I'm hoping you have craft sticks on hand...otherwise
Walmart or Michael's are your best bet.

However, if you want to get fancy with decorating,
add some googly eyes and sprinkles too!
Here's a shot of all we used~~1

The easy easy low down~
1 Unwrap caramels and place in pot:

2 Stir over heat and add a tiny bit of  water as the candy melts.
Just enough to keep the caramels "pourable."

3 Have that  apple ready.
Keeping a bit of wax paper around is a good idea too to "catch"
the caramel once dipped.

4 Dip your apple

and maybe enlist another pair of hands in case your pot isn't
quite full of caramel spread.
You'll need a spoon or stick to get the top of the apple covered.

5 Decorating fun:

I'll be back again soon with a few more Halloween-ish crafts that
we're having fun with this week as well as our trip to Graceland ( ! )  WooHoo!
