Hi there and welcome back!
It's been a while, what with getting back into the
swing after Christmas break and all!
I hope to be blogging a bit more regularly, though only once
or twice a week as we resume the routine....
I do miss this space and all of you, as well,
but balancing life with blogging, well....
something has to give a bit!
I hope you're doing well and enjoying January,
despite the deep freeze so many of us are
So I thought it'd be a heck of a lot of fun to
peruse my stats and reflect on the writings
here at my blog for a "mosts" of the past year.
Last year, I put together a mosts of 2013, so why not
make it an annual thing?

Most Controversial Post.
Published in 2013, this was still causing a stir in 2014.
As in, comments needed to be deleted.
At Santa's summer home in the beautiful Adirondacks of NY- summer 2008 |
I'm not exactly a controversial person,
but this post certainly garnered much negative
attention and soooooo many comments
which I simply deleted.
Tsk...When will they learn??
I'm goin' out on a limb to say that
a whole lotta coal wound up in stockings of non believers!

ReplyDeleteI love your post! It's always very interesting looking back at the last year of blogging and seeing what was most popular etc. I am always surprised. My favourite posts are never the most popular ones!
I remember practically all the posts you mention. So many photos to enjoy and happy memories to share, including the confirmation post.
I hate being controversial. I don't deal well with negativity. I'm not very tough! However, sometimes I do say things as I see them. We should be able to do that without everyone getting upset. We don't have Santa in our house but I did enjoy your post about this subject. I'm sorry you were put in the situation where you had to delete comments. At least you got everyone talking!
Another year of blogging is ahead of us. I look forward to sharing it with you! xx
Hey Sue and thanks so much for visiting!! I so enjoy when you stop by! How fast time goes, doesn't it....I, too, remember many of the bloggers' "mosts" of the year like they were published just this week!
DeleteYes, same with me, on the negativity!!
I'm so honored to be a part of the community of bloggers Sue, it's the best thing, isn't it ?!!
Love your thought about sharing the blogging journey together this year!

What a fabulous collection. I'm still enjoying working my way through them! We're planning a trip to the US west coast within the next few years. I loved your white water rafting post (don't think I'd have been as calm as you if one of my kids went overboard!). Thanks for all the inspiration. :-) Hope you're having a gorgeous weekend, Chris!
ReplyDeleteLucinda!
DeleteThanks so much, my friend....I always love getting a comment from you! How sweet of you to stop by and click to a couple of my
"mosts..."
I know what you mean about the white water and calmness..... But you know what...once I realized he was fine, trying to be calm and keep his head above water and that the guide was on top of things-- I figured it'd just be a matter of a few minutes before he was in the boat and safe, you know.... :)
Can't wait to hear all about the trip plans once it gets underway!
I look fwd to visiting your blog again soon.....
God bless
