So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved,
put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience
Colossians 3:12
I'm honored to have been chosen last year as a
Compassion International blogger.
Once a month or so, I make a point of sharing the amazing work
done by the dedicated, visionary folks at Compassion.
Compassion advocates for children in need globally, freeing them
from poverty and providing them with the resources to become successful,
responsible, Christian adults.
What sets Compassion apart is their faith based initiatives and
partnerships with over 6,500 churches worldwide.

How can we get involved with Compassion,
offering our time, talents and resources?
Here are 7 ways to literally change a life.
It's easier than you think:
1. Donate your big day!
For an upcoming milestone, consider forgoing birthday gifts and asking friends
to donate to children around the world who need it most.
2. Let your passions become a life saving activity:
Kind and caring folks are finding ways to make a difference through the things they love and are already doing every day! One lady challenged her friends to a bake-off, while another, a running enthusiast, challenged her friends to join her by committing to each run 50k and raise $50 for children in need. All of those proceeds are helping to release more children from poverty.
3. Celebrate the lives of your loved ones:
Are you looking for a way to honor and celebrate the achievements or milestones
of a loved one? Creating an online campaign page in their name can be an incredibly meaningful way to do this.
4. Start your own fundraiser: Explore Act For Compassion for more inspiration and
tips for sharing your own unique story and passion! It’s easy to start your own online campaign.
5. Install the Compassion App for ease of linking to Compassion and praying for your
sponsored child and the many children who are awaiting sponsorship.
