Sunrise, Sunset: In Our Own Backyard & at the Canyon { WW, A to Z Blogging Challenge }

We love our sunrises and sunsets around here....

whether they're right out our own windows,

a few miles away at the shore,

or across the country over the Grand Canyon........

Here's a series of sunrise shots my son took when we

headed out at dawn to the beach one morning recently~~

Just miraculous, no?

I must have hundreds of photos of daybreaks

and dusks from our travels across this beautiful country of ours.

I think my favorites are these, of the Grand Canyon, one of the 

seven wonders of the world:

They were taken from the south rim and along The Bright Angel Trail, as we 

trekked to Indian Gardens, which is about halfway to the Colorado River.....

This summer, we're headed down again and this time, allllll the 

way to the river...9.4 miles from rim to river!!

Believe me I'll be here in August with the scoop and TONS of pictures....
