Marshmallow Peeps & Mercy ~ Holy Saturday Traditions

Stopping in on this lovely, solemn day, this Holy Saturday,
to relive and share some Easter memories from past years.
My son participated in our parish's youth Living Stations of the Cross
last night on Good Friday.......

Because I don't want to share photos of the rest of the kids,
I'll stop there.....It was breathtaking and inspirational.
Very moving.

My son ( "Jesus") made crown of thorns garlic bread last night
to accompany a simple dinner of pasta and fish after the Stations.....

Sooooo yummmy.

And...here's our baking and decorating endeavors for today~

The cake's baked but not decorated yet,
but we'll be making one similar to these peep cakes~

I'm not sure if there's enough peeps on that though.....😉

It's so beautiful a Spring day today that we created our annual
peep wreath for the front doors~~~
It's a typical Holy Saturday thing around here

And....we're preparing for the vigil in just a few hours,

after which we'll break out the ice cream and donuts at midnight!
But we know that always~~
We ARE the Easter people are halleluia  is our song!

I have so many favorite photos of my beloved JPII .
This is one of them.

Wishing a Happy Holy Easter!
